Puppy school is a 1 Hour class that runs for consecutive weeks at a cost of $. These classes are based on 1 Hour designed to help your pet interact and socialise. Up to owners with their animal will be present for their dog training.
It’s also a fantastic way to get them used to our Ormeau Vet clinic so it’s a place of fun, where they can also be confident around other dogs.
We’ll help you with your Puppies house training & nipping, creating a puppy that you can confidently take to Ormeau’s parks & cafes. Our puppy training focus on safe dog socialisation before 16 weeks, ideal for preventing fear & aggression.
Requirements for Puppy School
As part of becoming puppy graduates, your puppy must already be:
- Vaccinated (just the initial C3 vaccinations – check with our vets and veterinary nurses).
- Dog ages start at 6-16 weeks (ideally, so start and finish within your pets key socialisation period.)
- Equipped with a collar and lead.
- Have treats in hand to reward your puppy.
What will my puppy learn?
Your puppy will learn more than just tricks; they will learn how to navigate the world confidently.
- Socialisation: How to interact safely with other dogs, people, new sounds, and being handled.
- Communication: Learning how to read other puppies’ body language.
- Basic Obedience: Fundamental commands such as Sit, Stay, Drop, and Recall.
- Life Skills: Walking nicely on a lead and crate training basics.
- Confidence: Becoming familiar and comfortable with the vet clinic setting.
